About MedClock

Built to make everyday care feel simpler.

MedClock gives people at home one familiar button for checking in or asking for assistance, while giving connected family members useful information when it matters.

Why we exist

Staying connected should feel reassuring, not intrusive or complicated.

A clearer way to stay in the loop.

Families often rely on calls, messages and memory to know whether an everyday routine has happened. That can create uncertainty for family and frustration for the person being checked on.

We created MedClock to make that small daily interaction easier. A short button press records a check-in. A five-second hold requests family assistance. Optional scheduled check-ins and medication reminders add structure when it is useful, without making the product harder to use.

Where it began

It started with my grandad.

Like many older people, my grandad valued the comfort of his own home and the independence that came with it. Devices intended to help, including pendants and watches, did not always become part of his everyday routine.

After my grandad experienced a fall while living independently, no one realised something was wrong for almost two days. That experience stayed with me.

I wanted to build something that could sit naturally in the home and remain genuinely simple to use. That idea became MedClock: one familiar button for everyday check-ins and assistance requests, with optional reminders when a little more structure is helpful.

The idea behind MedClock V2

Keep the action simple. Put the useful detail in the background.

The person at home should not need to learn a complicated system. MedClock remains in a familiar place and uses one large top button. Connected family members can use the app to receive updates and manage optional schedules.

  • No watch or pendant for the person at home to remember to wear.
  • No smartphone required by the person using MedClock.
  • No ongoing subscription fee for everyday app access.
  • Australian support for setup and everyday questions.

What guides us

Technology designed around real people.

01

Dignity first

MedClock supports independence without turning daily life into constant monitoring. The person at home chooses when to check in or request assistance.

02

Clarity over complexity

Important actions should be easy to understand. We work to keep the device simple while the app handles schedules, status and family notifications.

03

Useful reassurance

A received check-in does not promise that everything is okay. It gives family a clear signal they can use to decide whether a follow-up is needed.

Made for everyday life

One product, two very different needs.

MedClock needs to be effortless for the person at home and genuinely useful for the people supporting them. Every feature is considered from both sides.

Simple at home

A large button, audible and visual reminders, and no wearable or personal smartphone required.

Informative for family

Connected family can see received check-ins, missed scheduled routines and assistance requests.

Flexible as needs change

Use MedClock for voluntary check-ins alone, or add scheduled daily check-ins and medication reminders later.
